Included are Group companies in Russia and China dedicated to R&D and a strategic base for open innovation in North America. Research & Business Planning Department
The Research & Business Planning Department in ×ãÇò¾º²ÊÍƼö sets the priorities for R&D, decides research objectives, manages projects, and nurtures human resources around the world. It is also responsible for the Open Innovation initiative, and supports business operations during market entry of new products.
Intellectual Property Department
The Intellectual Property Department in ×ãÇò¾º²ÊÍƼö manages the intellectual property of the entire ×ãÇò¾º²ÊÍƼö. This includes acquiring and protecting patent and trademark rights, and, in coordination with R&D and other departments, negotiating and reviewing contracts on joint research.

ISD – Innovation Strategy Department
The ISD is a strategic department to accelerate ×ãÇò¾º²ÊÍƼö's innovation across the company’s priority growth areas. It collaborates with internal stakeholders, including corporate venture capital, R&D and business divisions, and external partners around the world to plan and execute organic and inorganic growth strategies. The team is based in the heart of the Greater Boston innovation ecosystem.
Client Innovation Center (CIC)
CIC generates research projects through discussions with business partners, and works with them to create new initiatives that can help resolve social issues. It features a Technology Space that presents 37 representative technologies in 14 categories from the ×ãÇò¾º²ÊÍƼö’s Food Science and Amino Science businesses, and a Digital Ideation Space that showcases cutting-edge ICT.
